San Diego Chargers
Game Day for Kids
Sponsored by Turner Logistics of San Diego

CPYC hosts several kids at every home game of the San Diego Chargers. The program was created by former NFL linebacker and two-time Super Bowl Champion Glenn Cadrez. Glenn hosts the kids with a pre-game barbecue and then the kids are treated to a day of fun in the sun at the Chargers game at QUALCOMM Stadium. This year’s tickets were donated by San Diego Charger’s Punter Mike Scifres. Thanks Mike for your support!
CPYC would also like to thank Turner Logistics for their contribution to this program the past two years.

California Police Youth Charities would like to introduce our newest partnership in our efforts to reach out to “at risk” kids. CPYC and the San Diego Police Department’s Star PAL Program have joined forces in our San Diego Chargers Game Day for Kids Program. Police Officers from the San Diego Police Department take up to 25 kids to each San Diego Charger game. They provide transportation, supervision and a barbecue lunch prior to the game in the parking lot at QUALCOMM Stadium. The children are selected from different areas in the San Diego, Imperial and Riverside counties of Southern California. They are treated to a fun day “hanging out” with police officers. We provide these kids an opportunity to realize that the police are not the “bad guys” but are their friends. They are taught to stay away from gangs, drugs and alcohol abuse and to respect their fellow humans. We stress the value of staying in school and working hard to accomplish goals that they set.
We are proud to be able to work with a great organization such as Star PAL and we look forward to many years of collaborating efforts to make a positive difference in the lives of many children.
